Korea Construction of Byeolnae Line (Extension of Line 8) Section 2

Summary

This is the construction of the Byeolnae Line 2 Shield Tunnel, which was carried out by crossing the Han River from Gangdong-gu, Seoul to Topyeong-dong, Guri-si. The second section of the star extension was constructed using the Shield Tunnel Method (Slurry Type). The site of Byeolnae Line 2 is 2,559m (rockbed) of shield excavation, 2,559m of invert concrete, and the construction scale of two horizontal tunnels.
